Scope of works

The purpose of this short renovation was to refurbish the kitchens of this local publicly owned youth facility.

Project Summary

The previous cupboard layout was extended to allow more cupboard space in the form an L-shape kitchen.

All cupboards were replaced with new and a master key system installed on all cupboards

Kitchen bench tops, sink and tiles were replaced.

A separate hand washing facility was installed.

New equipment supplied and installed; stove & cook top, dishwasher, small fridge/freezer, vegetable spray tap.

New non slip vinyl was installed through out kitchen.

All fixtures and fittings were new with the highest energy effieciency ratings possible.

The whole area was painted and made good.

Safety Considerations

The project was organised to be completed when the facility was routinely not in use. This kept disruption to a minimum and did not put the users of the centre at risk during the works. The timely coordination of multiple trades and specialists was essential for Murphy's to manage the risks different processes presented in the working environment.
